AIC is focused on continually improving on-farm practice to enhance water quality and optimise resource use. This is achieved through gathering quality data to reduce our footprint and implement technologies to improve water quality and encourage improved efficiency and biodiversity. AIC takes a lead in working with its farmer members to implement good practice on-farm through: the Farm Environment Plan auditing framework, gathering good data and better understanding of what is happening in the wider catchment and facilitating work programmes to adopt change within the catchment, education and extension opportunities for our members and farm teams, and advocacy in the policy and planning space that relates to the catchment.
